Public Works

The Department of Public Works (DPW) is responsible for the physical resources of the Borough, which include but are not limited to the following:
Tree Maintenance and Removal: DPW oversees the health and safety of Haddonfield's tree canopy.  

Trash: Waste Management collects the Borough's residential and business district trash.
Recycling: DPW crews are responsible for picking up residential and business recycling on designated trash days.
Leaf and Vegetative Waste Collection: DPW performs three leaf pickups in the fall and manages vegetative waste disposal, ensuring that organic materials are recycled or composted.  
Road Maintenance: DPW repairs and patches potholes, repaints lines, and maintains traffic signs and crosswalks.
Snow Removal: DPW brines the road before a storm and plows during and after to keep roads clear.
